EMS and SCADA engineer
Summary
TDK is looking for an experienced engineer who helps to improve Energy Management of TDK plants and supports implementation of Energy Management System (EMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). New colleague will be part of corporate department and responsible for implementing energy-efficient technology, best practices for energy use and monitoring energy consumption to identify areas where improvements can be made.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive energy management plans and strategies that optimize efficiency and minimize energy consumption across TDK plants. This includes coordinating the implementation of Energy Management Systems (EMS) encompassing various energy sources like electricity, compressed air, vacuum, and liquids, etc.
• Analyze energy usage data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Take initiative to implement these and unlock energy-saving potential
• Foster best practices sharing between plants for monitoring, analysis (in cooperation with Data Science colleagues), and improvement activities
• Stay up-to-date of evolving energy regulations, codes, and standards. Ensure compliance and identify opportunities for further improvement.
• Develop and deliver engaging training programs to raise awareness and educate employees on energy conservation practices
• Consult implementation and operation of SCADA system
• Serve as Center of Excellence in EMS and SCADA related topics
• Contributes in enterprise-wide energy improvement projects
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an international environment
• Working in an agile self-organized product team from concept to operation
Mandatory requirements
• Degree in electrical engineering or in related technical field
• 3+ years of practical experience in Energy Management technologies, principles, practices
• Proven experience with technical implementation of SCADA software (like Ignition, Aveva, Siemens SCADA) or similar application
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead conversations in a results-oriented manner
Other valued skills
• Experience in other Facility Management fields or Building Management Systems
• Experience with PLC programming
• Proficient in energy auditing techniques
